Some things won’t change.

Like how the rings circle my fingers tightly.

Like how the wristwatch pushed off my limit between the days.

Like how the skinny jeans embrace my thigh just like a longing lover.

Some things won’t change.

Like how my mouth smelled like a coffee in the convenience store.

Like how the fabric on my head is still fluttering by the breeze.

Like how the signature on my perfume reminds icy and frigid.

But sometimes, things change.

Like how the sparkle in my eyes became bitter.

Like how the language that spilled through my lips became harsh.

Like how the tide of emotions beneath my soul became numb.

And sometimes, things change.

Like how the little girl who longed for a prince charming became loathed the smell of gentleman.

Like how the little girl who longed for true love became cursing the fairy tales.

Like how the little girl who eagerly lives wants to jump over the cliff.

Some things change.
